Who Can Apply
We seek ventures that have a clear UT connection.
All Companies Must:
- Have an established funding round with a lead investor
- Demonstrate a strong tie to the University of Tennessee through at least one of the following:
- Executive team member affiliation
- Board member affiliation
- UT-owned or UT-licensed intellectual property
- Strategic alignment (such as participation in a UT-affiliated accelerator, location in a UT research park, a UTRF incubator business, etc.)
- Be U.S.-based
- Be an LLC or C-Corp (nonprofits are not eligible).
Selection Criteria
- Seeking seed to series A stage funding
- Have a scalable, venture-track business model
Although not mandatory, a referral by a UT Ventures member is a plus!
Application Steps
- Complete the online application form.
- Participate in screening with UT Ventures.
- Present to our members and answer questions
- Report quarterly on progress after the UT Ventures members invest
